Just wondering??
Why is it that you can't compare apples to oranges?
What made the chicken want to get to the other side of the road? Was the grass greener on that side?
What exactly is going to happen when the other shoe drops? Why not just toss it down there and find out?
Will the cows actually come home on their own or should I go out and look for them?
So why just keep waiting for your ship to come in when you can just jump on someone elses and get there sooner?
Is a mind really such a terrible thing to waste? Should I worry about wasting mine or have I already done that?

"Beauty" by me
They say beauty is "the quality attributed to whatever pleases or satisfies the senses or mind." But defined more specifically, beauty is the elusive entity that answers the question, "What is the meaning of life?" It is the clear aqua- blue morning that provides release from the fears of the night. It is the rosy-cheeked, tousel-haired child who brightens the day with his grin, while he throws Cheerios on the floor. It can be momentarily brief as a burst of striking color flits by in the form of a butterfly, or stoically enduring as the steel-gray mountain that promises eternity in its snow-capped elegance. Beauty is the subtle little surprise that offers relief from the doldrums of monotony. It is the impertinence of a perky wildflower that blooms in the midst of barren stone, and it is the sweet strains of a familiar tune that comforts from a far away guitar. It is only in the perpetual search for beauty that life chooses to go on, which truly does earn it the definition of the unceasingly sought after, "meaning of Life.

The first day I was busy so it didn't matter at all.
The second day I noticed but I didn't think I'd fall.
And then I got so tired as I watched the bridges burn.
I grew fearful when I saw it.
THE POINT OF NO RETURN!
I felt a twinge of panic and I tried to turn around,
But I was just a little confused and I couldn't see the ground.
I walked through faded places. I saw the court adjourn.
I struggled as I approached it.

Most people walked together. I only walked alone.
They couldn't see the storm clouds or how dark the sky had grown.
I wondered if they'd ever know the naked truth I'd learned.
I'd reached the brink of hell now.

I closed my eyes and felt it as it gently took me in.
The part that used to fight it just knew we couldn't win.
Reality had left me. The world was all a-churn.
I'd crossed the line of sanity.

I floated to the surface and took a breath of air.
Everything was different now, but it was all still there.
I caught a glimpse behind me and it didn't seem so stern.
I don't know why I'd feared it so.
